Our Trainer  had received his B.Sc. in geology in 1972, and his M.Sc. in petroleum geology in 1976. He got his Ph.D. in stratigraphy from the University of Pittsburgh, U.S.A. in 1983. Currently, he is working as a professor of geology at the University. Since 1983 His career has centered around the academic arena where he had taught different geological courses at different Middle Eastern universities. Published 90 papers on the geology of Iraq and Yemen. Currently is involved in research projects on carbonate reservoir characterization of some oil fields from north Iraqin addition to stratigraphy of the Zagros Foreland basin of Northern Iraq. He is Editorial board member of the “ Geology and Mining ” Journal of the geological survey.
